Through the end of May, fifty percent of all friendship bracelet sales will be donated to Chinatown Community Development Center (Chinatown CDC). The funds raised between May 14-31 will be contributed towards Chinatown CDC’s Feed + Fuel Chinatown, a program that provides up to 1600 meals each day to vulnerable Chinatown residents living in Single Room Occupancy Hotels (SROs) and public housing. By providing meals, the program aims to reduce disease transmission by minimizing use of communal kitchens, while simultaneously providing support to Chinatown’s shuttered restaurants and its employees.
